Since signing to iconic French label Naïve Records in 2013, he has been hailed by UK newspaper Metro as “a major new talent,” featured on the front page of daily national newspaper Le Figaro and performed live on national TV in Germany, Poland, Turkey & Portugal. 

His last album, Stepping Out, reached #1 on the US iTunes Jazz Charts and saw the radio giant NPR feature him in a special 60 - minute feature programme from Hollywood. He has slowly but steadily built a touring capability that has so far reached 26 countries across 4 continents.

The tour schedules speak for themselves and include, to name just a few, the 1,300 seat CCB in Lisbon, Istanbul’s Is Sanat Concert Hall, legendary French festival Jazz in Marciac, the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and Litchfield Festival in the USA.

The songs capture the fresh, positive and feel-good energy of his audience-winning tours. More than 20 musicians were involved in the making of this album with aim – in the words of Anthony himself – of giving the listener the “POW” they get when they see him perform live.

Anthony’s formative early years were spent, on scholarships, at 3 of England’s leading music schools, first studying classical music before, eventually, turning to jazz piano. Despite the stellar education, it was an out-of-the-blue offer to spend 9-months as understudy to Jerry Lee Lewis in a London West End musical that perhaps shaped his career most noticeably to where it is today, developing a stagecraft and audience rapport that has come to characterise his live show.

ATTA CENTRE is the largest conference and exhibition centre in the Baltics. From 2022, **ATTA CENTRE** is not only an event venue, but also an event organiser, hosting some of the most spectacular concerts, forums and exhibitions in Latvia.

## Deniss Pashkevich Quartet in jazz ballad programme "Melody"

At the end of 2021, a new recording was made in the legendary Riga recording studio, known from the 1960s to the 1990s as the recording studio where many important albums of the Melodija record label were made.
In this recording studio, the Deniss Pashkevich Quartet, which brings together some of the leading Latvian jazz musicians - saxophonist Deniss Pashkevich, pianist Kristaps Vanadziņš, bassist Andris Grunte and drummer Rūdolfs Dankfelds - recorded a programme of jazz ballads, which will be performed in a special concert at ATTA CENTRE in Riga.

Denis Pashkevich is one of the leading jazz musicians in the Baltics - saxophonist, flutist, composer, producer and teacher of contemporary improvisation and jazz music. Deniss Pashkevich is one of the few artists from the Baltic region to be included in the European Jazz Family Tree, where he is mentioned as the founder of his own unique style in Latvia. During his career to date, he has already gained significant international recognition, becoming an official artist of five saxophone brands and currently representing four of them.

Deniss has participated in more than 50 albums. The album "Variations", recorded with legendary musicians Vyacheslav Ganelin and Arkady Gotesman, received a 4-star rating in the world's most prestigious jazz magazine "Downbeat" and is included in the 2019 edition of the "Downbeat Jazz Awards". The latest album "Asta In Madrid" was recorded with Danish musicians and released on vinyl by Riga Room Records. Both albums - "Variations" and "Asta Madrid" have been nominated for the Latvian Music Recording Award "Golden Microphone" as the best jazz albums in Latvia in 2019.

His latest solo project TEN KA album "sonic geometry: structures, patterns and forms" (Jersika Records, 2021) received a four-star review on one of the most popular jazz music portals allaboutjazz.com.

**On the first weekend of May, from 7 to 8 May, cats from all over the world will meet for two days at the ATTA Centre in Riga to compete for the title of the most beautiful cat at the international cat show "Baltic Winner Show 2022".**

All cat lovers are invited to attend the show, where around 300 cats from 17 countries will compete for the prestigious Baltic Winner title, showcasing a total of 28 different cat breeds.

"This is a unique opportunity to see the world's best cats - winners of prestigious shows, outstanding representatives of their breeds, who will come to us from far away Mexico, Brazil, as well as Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and other countries, as well as to support the young rising stars who will compete for the title for the first time. In total, there will be participants from 17 different countries, representing 3 different continents. A show of this scale and level will be a real treat for cat lovers," says Linda Riekstina, CFCA Board Member and representative of the organisers.

The exhibition will feature the world's largest cats, the much-loved Maine Coons or gentle giants, the cosy British Shorthair, the extravagant Devon and Cornish Rexes, the elegant Oriental and Siamese cats. There will also be a rare opportunity to see Somali, American Spurred, Turkish Angora, Carthusian and others, 28 different breeds in all.

"Only 26 cats will win the Baltic Winner title. The title is special in that it is recorded in the studbook and becomes an integral part of the cat's official name. That is why breeders from all over the world are very interested in competing for this title. Such a show is held only once a year in each region. Latvia belongs to the Baltic group and a show of this scale is held in Latvia every three years. It is a great honour for us to host the world's most beautiful cats in Riga - the heart of the Baltic States", explains Linda Riekstiņa.

On the first day of the show, 7 May, the cats will be judged by FIFe International judges who will select the best cats to go forward to the finals. On the second day, 8 May, the final will take place on the big stage with an unforgettable awards ceremony that will guarantee positive emotions. 
The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite - the most beautiful cat. The results will be announced at the end of the show and the three cats with the highest number of votes will be awarded. I wonder if the viewers' opinion will be the same as the judges'?!
During the fair, visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the stands of manufacturers and distributors of various pet foods and pet products, where they will be able to buy professional products for pets and their owners.

The exhibition is open to the public on Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00. Admission is EUR 3 for adults, EUR 1.50 for children and seniors. Children under 7 years of age are admitted free of charge.
The exhibition is organised by the "Cat Fanciers Club Association CFCA", the official and sole representative of the Federation Internationale Feline (FIFe) in Latvia.

Cats from all over the world will meet for two days at the ATTA CENTRE in Riga

The world's most beautiful cats meet in Riga

Just as dreams give us clues about the next steps to take in our lives, the pieces in this concert programme contain lessons that the composers have lived and found important enough to share. They are like small keys to the basic human values of compassion, love, courage and equanimity. Our aim is to inspire the listener to live truthfully and not to be afraid of themselves.

The Dream Teller project was launched in April 2020, when vocalist/composer Kristīne Cīrule and pianist/composer Edgars Cīrulis returned to Latvia after several years spent studying abroad.

Dream Teller combines influences from a wide variety of sources, both within and outside music. Listeners can expect the intensity of jazz music, a colourful harmonic language and spontaneous interplay, as well as melodies that speak directly and immediately to people. All members are active musicians in several genres in Latvia and Europe, so Dream Teller is able to cross genre boundaries and create a new sound.

The pandemic forced both artists to stop their activities and look back at their creative lives. Finding it difficult to find inner peace and balance in increasingly turbulent times, they decided to create a new album that reflects their personal journey of self-discovery. Kristīne and Edgars are interested in the interaction between the human subconscious and the forces of nature, as well as in the meaning of dreams, so the musical material is based on these themes.

Edgars CĪRULIS is a Latvian composer, pianist, improviser and arranger. He studied at the JVLMA and the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg. He works in jazz and contemporary music genres.

In 2016, Edgars and his band "Ainavisti" released their album "-". In 2019, in collaboration with musicians from Latvia, Denmark, Italy and the USA, he released the fairy tale book and CD "Aisma", which he also presented in concerts in Denmark and Latvia. Cīrulis is also active in the Equanimity Trio. He has performed with musicians such as Mark Dreser, Marius Ungureanu, Jesper Lovdal, Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, Rok Zubov, Ahto Abner and others.

He was nominated for the Grand Music Prize Young Artist of the Year in 2020.

"It's this need for intimacy and such a baring of the heart. Yes, I guess intimacy is the most accurate word," is how Rēzija Kalniņa describes her idea of poetry evenings. The concert programme "A Moment After Dinner" is a dialogue with the audience in the form of music and poetry, each time different.

The moment after dinner is the twilight zone between day and evening. A moment between the hum of the day, the rush, the realm of peace and silence. A moment where we can meet ourselves in poetry and music. Where we can see our soul and hear our heart. A moment where the world speaks to us in silence. Poetry and music will come together in the programme "A Moment after dinner", where the audience will discover a little more, more personally.

Poetry has always been important to Rēzija Kalniņa. She reads it both alone and with friends. It was her husband (conductor Ainārs Rubiķis) who suggested that she broaden her audience. The title of the programme, "A Moment After Dinner", is also very personal in a way.

"I have two weaknesses. One is to cook, the other is to read poetry. We used to have these evenings with friends where I'd buy a new book of poetry again, and after dinner, I'd take the book and read the poetry. At one point Ainārs suggested that I could do it more widely," says Rēzija Kalniņa.
"Everyone who reads poetry has had moments when it seems - the poet has looked into the corners of our hearts and written down those hidden longings and feelings." This evening, Rēzija and Kaspars will share the poems and compositions that have spoken to their hearts.
The programme will include poetry by Rudīte Losāne, Dace Zālīte-Micāne and Māra Zālīte, Kaspars' original compositions and songs, as well as arrangements for guitar by Latvian and foreign composers.

On 21 July, ATTA CENTRE launches the first ATTA Krasta Festival, featuring a Street Food Festival and a Collectors' Market with unique offers. The festival will be open from 15.00 to 23.00. DJ Toms Grēviņš, music journalist, radio and TV presenter, and Madara Dzintara, soloist of RADIO TRIO, and her band will set the musical mood.

Indulge your taste buds at Mi: Gelato, 2EAT, one of the best Israeli cuisine restaurants, at the Labietis brewery stand you can dive into unique flavour combinations of ales, sip delicious coffee or cocoa from Royal Coffee, discover Mexican cuisine with a real Mexican, Havier Garcia, go back to your childhood with Cotton Candy Service, try ATTA CENTRE's special burgers and sip delicious summer cocktails while you watch one of Riga's liveliest streets, Krasta Street. 

The event will feature the Invisible World Museum, which invites visitors to discover everyday objects in an unusual way, using touch, hearing and smell. During the event, there will be a tent with several blindfolded challenges to identify different smells, objects, natural treasures and other surprises in the dark. Visitors are also invited to join a guided tour in the dark along a 5-10 m long trail, where they can use a blindfold and a walking stick to discover different objects that they can guess by touch, smell and hearing. The activities are led by blind people for whom life in the dark is a daily routine.

Cat lovers club CAT's Meow was founded on March 29, 2007. Already on April 12, 2007, the club was admitted to the WCF (World Cat Federation) and on August 3, 2008, at the WCF General Assembly, the cat lovers' club CAT's Meow was admitted to the WCF as a full member.

**This year’s annual real estate event, the BREL Forum, will gather Baltic Real Estate market leaders for the 11th time to discuss the latest challenges in the project development – starting from significantly rising prices in the construction and skyrocketing energy prices impacting the tenants of both commercial and residential projects. Mark Martel is a unique phenomenon - he doesn't just sing like Freddie Mercury, mimicking his mannerisms and vocal intonations down to the smallest detail. He is also visually very similar to the legendary Queen soloist. It is no coincidence that critics call Martel the reincarnation of Mercury. Queen's famous drummer Roger Taylor chose Mark for the film Bohemian Rhapsody, in which Rami Malek, who played Mercury, sings his voice.  
 
In 2011, Mark Martel performed an excerpt from 'Somebody To Love' as part of the "Queen Extravaganza" contest. It was enough to enchant not only the audience but also Queen's musicians. Martel's video received around 9 000 000 views.
 
After the sensational release of the film Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018, a new wave of popularity for Queen swept the world, while in the musicians' home country, the invaluable contribution of the band members to music and cultural history was finally recognised. Mark Martel's life has also changed dramatically since then.
 
Marc has been described as the counterpart or reincarnation of the rock legend and inimitable showman. It is not only the visual resemblance in facial features and the haunting timbre of his voice that link him to Freddie Mercury. Mark has an indescribable charisma and copies Mercury's stage moves perfectly. This is not only true of his admirers, but also of Queen's long-standing members, guitarist Brian May and percussionist Roger Taylor. It was they who chose Martel to be the soloist for the official tribute project, The Queen Extravaganza. Incidentally, Mark Martel has also contributed his voice to the film. It was he who performed Mercury's parts in the film, helping Rami Malek to play the role of the legendary musician brilliantly.

The 26th of November the most prestigious European tournament "KOK MEGA SERIES 2022 IN RIGA" will be held in ATTA CENTER in Riga, Latvia. 

The ring will host 12 fights according to the rules of MMA and K-1 (kickboxing) with fighters from the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, England, Finland, Ukraine and Latvia.
Furthermore, as part of the show, the audience will see the European Grand Prix, title fight, and the best fighters from Europe and Latvia in the ring.
